The Lillooet Tribal Council (LTC) is a non-profit society, incorporated in May 28, 1976 that proudly serves five communities in the St’át’imc Nation territory. These communities include Xwísten (Bridge River), Sekw̓el’wás (Cayoose Creek), Ts’kw’áylaxw (Pavilion), Tsal̓álh (Seton), and
Xaxli’p (Fountain).
These communities along with six other communities, N’Quatqua (Anderson Lake), Xa’xtsa (Douglas), Lil’wat (Mount Currie), T’it’q’et (Lillooet), Samahquam and Skatin Nation Council make up the St’át’imc Nation.
The Lillooet Tribal Council (LTC) was first incorporated in 1976 as the Stl’atl’imx Nation Tribal Council to deliver support and advisory services to its member communities. In 1996 we formally changed our name to the Lillooet District Indian Council, and today we do business as the Lillooet Tribal Council.
Over the years our mandate has changed and evolved as our member communities grow, and their needs and expectations evolve. Our Purpose Statement includes:
